- Discover Fort Tompkins: On Wednesday through Sunday now through September 6th, you have the opportunity to get to know Fort Tompkins, a historic structure that is one of the oldest military sites in the entire country. Gain access to little-seen parts, learn about life in the 1800s, and check out the coastal fortifications guided by a park ranger. Meet at the Visitor Center parking area on New York Avenue in Fort Wadsworth at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. to be a part of this 45-minute tour.
- Holly Forest Night Prowl: Get the chance to be guided through the forest at night to take in the sights, sounds, and smells as evening settles. A park ranger will lead you on this 1-mile walk that is suitable for the whole family. The prowl leaves from Sandy Hook – Lot E Beach Plaza at 7:30 p.m. on July 25th.
- The Goodhue Woods Exploration: Cliff Hagen guides this exploration through the city park property of the Goodhue Woods. Meet at the corner of Brentwood and Prospect Avenues at 10:00 a.m. on August 9th to join this 2-hour tour through nature’s beauty.
